Looks like my new shiny AVG 8 is not suitable for SBS Server 2003 .. Excellent.
Not sure why nobody thought to test it on this platform before release, can't imagine they have that many customers running SBS 2003 .... errr.
My advice is don't upgrade your AVG to 8 if you are running AVG 7.5. Stick or find a antivirus provider who actually support SBS 2003 which is exactly what I am going to actively have to do! AVG 7.5 seems to be still supported ..

I was about to pull the trigger on using AVG for SBS 2003 once i read some reviews on AVG 7.5 but after reading your comments on 8.0 I"m a bit concerned. Have they fixed the problem or have you chosen an alternate solution yet?

No ;-( Really sucks, they have not even responded to my request to send me the old Rootkit search tool. Which was the whole reason I wanted to upgrade on the server to get the latest version. I just got an obivous standard response. Very poor. I uninstalled AVG 8 and put back on 7.5 at least that does what it says on the tin. Not very impressed.
